10 Tips for busy moms during pregnancy and breastfeeding
Dear ,
Struggle ba ang makakuha ng sapat na tulog as a pregnant, breastfeeding, or busy mom?
The demands of motherhood often leave us feeling groggy and sleepy every day.
I have collected these tips from my own experience and from other mother's experiences to help you claim the rest you need and deserve.
While gracefully navigating the beautiful chaos of motherhood.
Here are 10 tips to achieve restful nights:
1. Prioritize Self-Care: Dedicate moments to yourself every day without guilt. A little self-care goes a long way in enhancing sleep quality.
2. Create a Relaxing Bedtime Routine: Create a nightly ritual that tells your body it's time to wind down. Think gentle stretches, a good book (a bedtime story can do), or a soothing warm bath.
3. Set a Sleep Schedule: Consistency is key. Go to bed and rise at the same times daily to regulate your body's internal clock. If you're breastfeeding like me, you often wake up during the night to feed. Just get back to sleep while the baby feds.
4. Optimize Your Sleep Environment: Transform your bedroom into a serene sanctuary—dark, quiet, and cool. Invest in a comfy mattress and pillows for ultimate relaxation.
5. Watch Your Diet: Mind your late-day intake. Skip heavy meals, especially sugar, caffeine, and alcohol close to bedtime.
6. Nap Wisely: Short power naps during the day can revitalize you. But long ones may disrupt nighttime sleep.
7. Delegate and Ask for Help: Don't shoulder the load alone. Ask help from your partner, family, or friend for the help you need and deserve.
8. Stay Active: Regular exercise elevates sleep quality. A brief daytime walk can work wonders.
9. Manage Stress: Moms often juggle worries, but don't let stress rob you of sleep. Practice relaxation techniques like deep breathing, meditation, or yoga.
10. Don't Be Too Hard on Yourself: Understand that no one's perfect. Some nights, you might not get the ideal rest. Embrace self-compassion.
Enough sleep is important to achieve your overall well-being.
It impacts your effectiveness as a loving mom.
Try these proven strategies to achieve the rest you deserve.
