Ang ganda lang kasi ng birth story nila.

Ang wife ni Daddy Jerald na si Mommy Aniah ay nanganak sa kanilang bahay through an unmedicated, gentle (undisturbed), water birth.

All made possible dahil sa tulong ng kanilang health care provider, sa research ni Daddy Jerald, at sa support ng mga taong nag encourage sa kanila.

Pero hindi din pala naging madali ang lahat. 

Madami din silang hinarap na challenges.

Pero nalampasan nila dahil naging intentional sila sa kanilang decision to do a water birth at home.

Kaya share ko lang dito ang aking takeaways sa kanilang kwento:

1. Start with the right mindset. Water birth is a journey, not a destination. When you decide na gagawin mo, you’ll do everything in your God-given power to find a way. Kaya dito ka mag-aaral. Educate yourself, your partner, your family. Ask questions, read books, watch videos, and talk to people who’ve done it before. 
2. Let God work wonders in your life. With God on your side, confident kang kakayanin mo ang lahat kahit gaano man kahirap yun. And believe that God has cancelled the pains of birth when He died on the cross for your sins.
3. Prepare yourself physically. Eat a balanced and nutritious diet to stay low risk.
4. Exercise to prepare your body for endurance and strength.
5. Declare what you want to happen in your life. Say blessings rather than curses. Because words are powerful.

Ang pinakmahalagang lesson na napulot ko sa kwento nila Daddy Jerald at Mommy Aniah, kapag magkasama kayo, sa hirap at ginhawa, lahat ng bagay sa buhay, ay nagiging posible.

Kaya sobrang salute ako sayo Daddy Jerald, for fulfilling your role as a partner, sa water birth journey ng inyong pamilya.

Sobrang na-inspire ako sa kwento nyo at naway marami pang tatay, nanay, at pamilya ang makaranas ng ganitong birth journey.

God meant for mothers to have a gentle birth experience.

God designed a woman’s body to work perfectly on its own, without interventions.

I wish more moms can have the birth they truly deserve.
