Thank you so much for your interest in becoming a part of our growing Green Thumb Squad Garden Club. In this email I am going to give you details about how our fundraising will operate and what you can expect to see this growing season.

Our mission is to help families become more self-sufficient by growing their own food and promoting more community engagement/involvement. My daughter Skylar loves to give back so she came up with the idea to have a garden club that would help feed the homeless. I immediately jumped into action to make this happen for her, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your willingness to participate. Feeding the homeless fresh produce from the things we grow will be a center point of focus for our club. We will have many activities that we do but this is a major one.

I am hosting a meet and greet/official registration as follows:

Greensboro registration will be held on January 27th from 5pm-6pm

Location is Hemphill Branch Library: 2301 W Vandalia Rd, Greensboro 27407


High Point registration will be held on January 28th from 3:30pm-4:30pm

Location is High Point Public Library: 901 N Main St, High Point 27262

Fundraising Info: For fundraising we will make our own homemade products as a thank you to all of our sponsors. We will make bath salts, lip balms and various skin treatment salves and oils from the herbs and flowers we grow in the garden. You all will be given a fundraising flyer with your own personal link to send to your contacts. The goal is to have 20 committed family and friends monthly at $10 each to help us with club expenses. What we are doing differently is giving back to the families that assist us in making this growing club possible. The monthly membership fee is $25 but all money raised after that will be split 50/50 with our families. At 20 committed pledges a month, you should raise $200, the remaining $175 will be split and you will receive a check for $87.50. All money will go to the operation on our Garden club activities and materials needed for us to be successful. Each family will be given their own links so that money received can be tracked and dispersed correctly. If you have out of town sponsors we need to ship products to, the club will cover shipping cost. Our first membership fee will be due no later than 2/2/2024. I am currently working on community sponsors for those of you who may not be able to contribute right away. Please let me know if this is an issue for you, money comes and goes but our impact last forever. You will be provided with all the assistance you need to successfully create your sponsorship list and if you are not comfortable with reaching out to others for support, we will have our team reach out to the individuals you have listed.
