Dear ,
Are you feeling unfulfilled in your career?
Do you find yourself questioning if you are in the right job or even the right industry?
Many people struggle with finding passion and purpose in their careers, but the good news is, it's never too late to start the journey.
In this two-part email series, we'll explore strategies for discovering passion and purpose in your career, and how you can turn that into a fulfilling and rewarding career path.
In this first email, we'll start by identifying your interests and skills.
So, ask yourself these questions:
- What activities do I enjoy doing in my free time?
- What skills do I possess that I enjoy using?
- What topics do I enjoy reading and learning about?
Make a note of your answers and see if you notice any patterns.
For example, I noticed very early that I enjoyed speaking about purpose and growth.
That passion pushed me to start mentoring and coaching young professionals within the firms I worked as an Associate.
It has pushed me to do everything I have done so far as a Career and Executive Coach and keeps me grounded in all I am doing.
So, if, for instance, you enjoy helping others, have strong communication skills, and enjoy learning about psychology, a career in counselling or therapy may be a good fit for you.
Next, consider your values.
What's important to you in your work and your life?
Are you motivated by a sense of purpose, the ability to help others, or the opportunity to be creative?
, the truth is that once you understand your interests, skills, and values better, you can start exploring career options that align with them.
In my next email, we'll discuss how to research and evaluate potential career paths to find the right fit for you.
Until then, take some time to reflect on what you've learned about yourself and start brainstorming potential career options that align with your interests, skills, and values.
I remain yours truly,
Coach BSO
Career and Executive Coach
