Is this belief quietly holding you back?

Ever catch yourself thinking…

“I’m not ready yet.” “I need to learn more before I offer this.” “Who am I to charge that much?” “If I slow down, it’ll all fall apart.”

These aren’t just passing thoughts. These are limiting beliefs—and they’re incredibly sneaky.

They show up masked as logic or humility. They often sound like good advice. But underneath, they’re tiny decisions we’ve made (usually in the past) that quietly shape what we think we can do, be, or create.

As a certified Mindset Coach trained in NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), I see this all the time with the women I work with.

A limiting belief is simply a conclusion your mind has drawn—based on past experience—that now influences your present reality. And unless we question that belief, it becomes the lens through which we view every opportunity, challenge, and decision.

Let’s make this real.

👉 You want to raise your prices. But you hesitate. Why? Because the belief “People won’t pay that” is running the show.

👉 You keep tweaking your website or planning content but avoid launching. Why? Because the belief “It’s not ready yet” is in the driver’s seat.

👉 You work long hours but feel like you’re getting nowhere. Why? Because the belief “I have to do everything myself” is silently directing your energy.

Here’s the thing: your business will only grow to the level of your mindset. And if your mindset is operating on outdated or unhelpful beliefs, you’re unintentionally capping your own potential.

So how do you spot the beliefs that are holding you back?

Here are 5 self-coaching questions to get you started:

  1. What’s a recurring thought I’ve had lately about my business or myself?
  2. Where did I first learn or hear that?
  3. Is it always true? Can I find even one counter-example?
  4. What is this belief costing me—in time, energy, or opportunities?
  5. If I let this belief go, what becomes possible?

💬 Feel brave? Email back to me with one of your answers. Let’s name it to tame it.

Because once you’ve brought a limiting belief into the light, you’ve started the most important process in mindset coaching: awareness.

And from there, you can consciously choose something better.

Here’s what that might look like:

✨ Write a new affirmation that reflects your desired belief

✨ Journal each time the old belief shows up—and choose to act from the new one

✨ Visualise your future self after you’ve achieved your goal. What advice would she give you today?

The truth? A limiting belief is just a decision you once made. Which means—you can decide again.

You've got the power. Let’s use it. 💛
