Dear
Ref: Ref: Renters Reform Bill
The Renters Reform Bill was published Wednesday, 17th of May, and is to be debated in Parliament before it becomes law.
All residential landlords need to familiarise themselves with this bill to know what to expect, albeit it is not yet enacted.
As some of you may have seen on the BBC, SKY, ITV and GB TV, we have made our concerns known regarding the eviction process element of this bill.
Cases for nuisance (as proposed in the bill) for eviction of tenants is a ground that is rarely used, and we would like to see changes to the eviction process for rent arrears and breach of the tenancy be fast-tracked. These are the most common reasons for eviction and a headache for landlords.
