Happy Wednesday!
We've been head down working with schools and getting them set up, looks like we might be in 20+ by the start of the year! So first, let's celebrate that!
And second, this week's WWU will be a little shorter, but I did want to get out to you an interview we did with Derrick, one of the teachers that has gone through our training. Check out that interview below, particularly his story of dealing with the student and how he didn't go into other conversational responses - which would be really easy to do in that situation, stayed in Empathy, and took time to look at the situation from the student's perspective.
Before that, let's dive into this week's Podcast episode where Cindy and Heather discuss when empathy may not be the "best" option for connection.
🎙️ Podcast Episode: When Empathy May Not Be Best!
Empathy may not be the most connecting response in a circumstance. In this episode, Dr. B and Heather go through a list of situations where giving and/or receiving empathy may not be the most "life serving" in the moment.
