Hello Friends!

I was sharing with my sister this morning how much I’m enjoying the Empathy Gym. I said something like – it’s working with a whole bunch of people who “get” this work as much as I do. They are already bought in and know the power and potential. I also said, as a result, it’s like I’m going to work with a bunch of my friends and we get to work on the thing I care most about in this world. That is truly how it is for me – in comparison to doing the hard work of going into schools where there are many folks who have initial resistance and it’s super scary for me. But, I keep doing it because I see it working and I have this deep dream of having emotionally safe spaces for our youth and for everyone, for that matter. 

I lead with all of that because I need a little support right now in lifting this dream. Registration for our next Intro course is open and we have 8 people signed up – but I’d love to fill it up, if possible, or at least get to 10 participants. It takes a bunch of my emotional energy to do these Intro courses – and I’d like to know that each time I facilitate one that I am reaching as many folks as possible and that I am doing the best to keep this growing business and dream solvent. That said, I’m asking for help and my specific action request is as follows: Would you be willing to reach out to at least 2 people and tell them about the course, the impact of NVC on your life, and encourage them to sign up by Thursday? The course is officially open right now; Week 1 self-paced material is accessible and then on Wednesday, August 11^th at 6:00 pm, we will have Week 1 Zoom session. So, time is kind of short.

Since I'm making this request, I want to make sure this relationship/ask isn't one-sided, and I’d love to reciprocate the support. So, if you get someone to sign up, we will gift you a free month of Empathy Gym. That sounds kind of salesy and it’s uncomfortable for me, but the truth is we are trying to sell the course AND the bigger truth is that we are on a mission to “Operationalize Peace” everywhere and that is going to take reaching many many people. So, your help is very much appreciated. I know you share this dream with me. 

And in the attempt to make my request “present moment,” can you email me back, real quickly, and just let me know you are willing to reach out to a couple of folks? That would let me know that there is support and possible movement – and would bring a bunch of joy and meet my need of solidarity and shared vision and let me know that people are reading my emails (LOL).

It would also help us with tracking who communicated. We can give you an affiliate code to track who signs up from you or you can respond with who you reached out to - person, company or network. And either of those would make it easier for us to find who to reward the free Empathy Gym month(s) to.
