Happy Wednesday,


This week's email is going to be super short and sweet - I think that's what my mom used to say.


I want to focus largely on the podcast this week because I think (a judgment) it has a lot of value. There's a lot of conflict (another judgment) going on in the world right now. Cindy and Heather step right into it and break down how to navigate it and even walk towards it to create more safety in our world.

What if we create more safety in our world by walking towards conflict instead of avoiding it or shutting it out? In Episode 56, Dr. B and Heather talk about the current state of affairs where there seems to be this great divide amongst people and their views and how we might navigate those difficult conflicts differently and undo the hate that seems to be bubbling up in all corners of life.

This Weeks Challenge: Self-Talk To Observations

Last week I asked you to notice when you use judgmental language in your self-talk. How'd you do? Were you able to get 5 out of 7 days? Were you able to notice it 1 day? Be curious when answering those questions. If you didn't hit your goal ask questions. Why'd I stop? Or Why'd I not do the other days?


And also don't forget to celebrate! Even 1 day is more than your previous mark of 0 days.


This week we're going to focus on adding a step. Once you notice the judgmental self-talk can you change it to be observational? Last week I used the example "Why am I always late?".


I could've reframed that to "Today my appointment was for 8am and I got here at 8:05am. I'm mourning my PT's need for respect around time, and maybe my own need for kindness towards myself right now."


The challenge this week, if you choose to accept it, is to do this once a day for 5 days. Let's see how you do. Don't forget to celebrate every time you take that step and do it!
