Radiofrequency (RF) Microneedling is a minimally-invasive, skin rejuvenation method used to treat fine lines, wrinkles, unfavorable skin texture such as enlarged pores, and acne scarring. This procedure normally produces some redness with minimal downtime. 


The device itself utilizes small, fine needles and heated radiofrequency energy waves to create microchannels into the first layer of skin. These microchannels stimulate new collagen production which supports reduction of fine lines and wrinkling, and improvement of skin tightening and texture.


Research results reflect that RF microneedling supports the improvement of sun damaged skin (Hong et al., 2020; Nilforoushzadeh et al., 2020) Additionally, RF microneedling procedures may be linked to skin tightening and collagen production (Tan et al., 2021). 


The Procedure

Our RF microneedling appointments start with 45 minutes of topical numbing while relaxing with spa music and low lighting. After 45 minutes of numbing, Dr. Dintiman begins the RF microneedling procedure with custom settings tailored to your skincare needs. After the RF microneedling procedure is complete, our staff applies a calming face mask infused with epidermal growth factors that support skin rejuvenation. There is minimal downtime (on average ~12-24 hours of redness and swelling) after receiving an RF microneedling treatment.
