Springtime Glow-Up.
Patients often ask me what the secret is to getting rid of dull skin, acne, and redness to create a beautiful glow.
Here are some of my favorite tips to give you the healthy glow you are looking for:
- Hydrate!: Drinking plenty of water helps with keeping your skin clear of blemishes and supports healthy elasticity. I aim for at least 64 ounces daily.
- Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables: Foods such as bell peppers, citrus, and kiwi contain vitamin C to brighten the skin. Spinach, carrots, and sweet potato contain vitamin A which is protective of the skin barrier.
- ADDRESS your STRESS: Leading science shows a link between stress levels and skin health (Chen & Lyga, 2014). Practice mindful habits that may help to lower stress such as yoga, meditation, and journaling.
- Sleep: The skin produces new collagen as you sleep. Chronic sleep deprivation has been linked to increased signs of aging and lower satisfaction with appearance (Oyetakin-White et al., 2015).
- Products I'm Loving: Alastin Skin Nectar, Facile Reverse Serum, Tizo AM Replenish (Links below)
