EXTANT is yours to read a whole week early!
Did you know The Thaw Chronicles were meant to be a three book series? When we first embarked on our coauthor journey, we knew this series was special...but not 8 books special!! As it turns out, the characters had more to tell, the story wasn't anywhere near ready to come to an end, and readers fell in love with Askala and its people. In fact, if readers keep loving this series as much as we love writing it, there are 16 books already conceptualized!
So, it's with much excitement, that we're launching EXTANT, book 5 in The Thaw Chronicles, the first book of Beyond the Thaw. You're about to meet the next generation of Askala!
There's Sam, the daughter of Kian and Nova, intelligent and determined, yet clueless to so much;
Hawk, the son of Phoenix and Flick, a big guy with an even bigger heart torn between the two loves of his life;
Mercy, the daughter of Wren and Dex, passionate and beautiful, and far more like her mother than anyone realizes;
and Luca, adoptive son of Kian and Nova, struggling to find his place in the world.
They're all about to experience a new type of Proving. A chance to become a Seeker...
There's everything you've come to expect from The Thaw Chronicles - a new set of tests for an expanding world, characters that take you by the hand and pull you right into the story, glorious romance, shocks and surprises, and all the challenges the very unique world of Askala brings.
Happy reading!
Stay safe during these uncertain times,
Tamar and Heidi

ONLY THE CHOSEN SHALL SEEK
Sea levels have receded, exposing fertile, untouched land. Virgin soil that everyone in a ravaged world is willing to fight for.
Askala knows it needs to stake a claim if they’re going to continue healing the Earth. To do that, a team of Seekers will be sent to colonize it…and assimilate those who don’t understand.
This year, the testing won’t end at the Proving. Passing is no longer just about having a kind heart and a sharp mind. To spread Askala’s word, Seekers also need to survive in this harsh new land. New tests will determine who’s strong and tough enough to be the best of the best.
Sam is determined to prove her father’s vision is what the world needs. Mercy’s about to discover she’s more like her mother than she realized. Hawk believes he was destined to be a Seeker, but does that mean leaving the only girl he’s ever loved? Luca knows he’s never fitted in and isn’t about to try.
Who will pass and have the honor of representing Askala? And how will a society founded on peace succeed in a world where violence is power? Four teens are about to find out.
