🇺🇸, 🇬🇧 & New Grads: A Busy Week in the World of Hiring! 🚀

Hi there ,

Reading time: 1 min 40 secs

It’s been an interesting week as I’ve been focused on the details of hiring for various groups.

I spent time developing resources for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) in the UK and USA, trying to understand their specific hiring needs and the kind of talent they’re looking for.

In addition, I’ve been putting effort into creating two courses.

Course 1:

  • The first is something I feel strongly about: a course designed to guide founders with limited funds through the process of hiring their own technology staff.
  • Providing these growing businesses with the knowledge to secure key tech hires can be really impactful.

Course 2:

  • The second course I’ve been working on is a free resource for graduates in the UK who are starting their journey to find their first job after university.
  • It’s been rewarding to think about how to prepare these young professionals for the job market and give them the confidence they need.

While working on the US MSP resources, I’ve also been learning about the ongoing challenges that techie companies in the UK face when trying to recruit technical, talented employees. The demand for skilled people in this area is high, and finding people with the right technical abilities and communication skills is a significant challenge.

What does this mean for you?

Whether you’re a growing business facing similar hiring pressures, or you simply recognise the importance of a strong workforce, these experiences highlight a key idea:

Finding the right talent requires understanding the specific needs of different groups and creating solutions that fit those needs.

Considering what different types of candidates are looking for is essential for building effective teams and a successful workforce.

Happy Hiring!

Helen
