Level-up as a Leader through delegation

Hello ,
Delegating is one of the most important things you can do as a leader.
It not only guarantees that your team and your business continue to grow and thrive but also mitigates the company’s risk level.
Not many people have a “Hit by a Bus” manual, so what happens if you leave the company or need to step away for several weeks, and all that important information lives only in your head? Spoiler Alert: nothing good.
It may be true that you do it best, however ultimately, we’re not helping ourselves or our business unless we delegate.
To Level Up as a leader, you must learn to delegate well. Here’s how:
💪Be clear about the object of the task, the non-negotiables, and the timeline
Know what needs to be achieved and explain it plainly, slowly, including all the whys and how’s.
🤝Check-in during the delivery process
Arrange a check-in point sometime during the process of delivery to ensure that the task is in progress as it should. A lot of time, you find that initially, the delegate only comprehended 70-80% of what needed to be done. So, this is a great opportunity to refine that and incorporate any new learnings.
🔥Always give feedback
Constructive feedback is always welcomed and an opportunity to learn from. Constructive, and positive feedback, is recognition of the work done and engages employees.
"If you really want to grow as an entrepreneur, you've got to learn to delegate." — Richard Branson.
