A couple of years ago I heard about this barber out in Miami that was knocking out 15 minute hair cuts.
I’ll admit I didn’t believe it.
Supposedly he was working with high end clients and still knocking out cuts in 15 minutes… my appointments were 90 minutes, and I just didn’t believe it was possible.
So the next time I was in Miami I made sure to look him up…
Turns out the hype was real. Chris (@criztofferson on IG) is the real deal. He’s been cranking out back to back 15 minute cuts for years.
The best part is his strategy is simple. If you can streamline the process and cut out wasted steps without cutting corners you can dramatically increase how much money you make.
Take me for example. My goal going into 2020 was to shave 15 minutes off my appointment times. For me that would mean an extra two clients per day… or and extra $300 per day, $6000 per month if I were behind the chair full time…
All by working more efficiently.
It's like giving myself a BIG raise... I don't have to work harder, I don't have to work longer, I just make more money... who can argue with that!
The beauty of his strategy is you don’t have to live in a high-priced area like LA or Miami to make good money cutting hair if you know how to deliver a quality cut quickly.
If you can master Chris’s techniques and charge just $30 per cut that’s $120 per hour… not to shabby for being “Just a barber”
Luckily for me we were able to have Chris out to LA to film just before the Lockdowns happened so I could learn exactly how he breaks down his cuts…
I haven’t quite shaved that 15 minutes off yet, but COVID’s got me a little rusty.
