SPOTLIGHT
Well, folks, here we have it, the bottom of the market for a clean, no-stories accident-free 991.2 GT3. The lowest sale up until this point was a branded title car that sold for $135,000 back in October and the average of the 26 examples sold over the past 12 months is a bit over $198,000. The 2018 GT3 above? $130,991. Why so low?
Finished in the highly desirable shade of Lava Orange and well optioned with Sport Chrono, Carbon Interior Package, and full buckets, what could possibly be wrong with this car to command a new low? Some might say PDK, but our car is 6-speed. Maybe it's highly modified under the hood? Nope. Completely stock.
The reason for a perfectly good GT3 selling at $130k is miles. 55,000 of them. And nothing makes us happier than seeing such a car enjoyed to its fullest providing miles of smiles. Well-bought for sure as another high mileage GT3 is probably not on the horizon and the owner can enjoy the car without worries of huge depreciation. And well-enjoyed by the seller. Both parties should be happy here.
NOTEWORTHY SALES
- Super-low mileage pushed this 2003 911 Turbo Coupe 6sp over the $100k mark even though it wasn't an X50 package car. I'm sure the color combination of Guards Red over Savannah Beige helped as well.
- Speaking of big-money Turbos, this 1986 944 Turbo with 12,000 miles brought $81,000 after a slew of bids in the final hour. Strong sale but examples like this are only going to go up no matter the market.
- Remember when these were $300k+? That wasn't long ago as the market has softened even more for delivery mileage GT3s like this 2022 GT3 Touring 6sp that sold for $268,000 yesterday.
NEW LISTINGS
- Expect this 3,500-mile Special Wishes 1986 911 Turbo Slant Nose Coupe to fetch big money next week as not only is it a rare factory Slant Nose and has a one-off 930S front bumper.
- Yes, not a car, but very cool. This 928 V8 Coffee Table is definitely worth checking out.
- A delivery mileage 996 GT3? They still exist. This One-Owner 1,000-mile 2004 GT3 finished in Speed Yellow is already up to $100k after only a few hours online.
