Good Morning! Sorting through October's numbers last night it looks like the Porsche market outperformed the market overall although it is showing signs of slowing. The Sell-through rate is down quite a bit but dollar volume is up thanks to a number of high-value sales.

THE MARKET
Sell-Through Rate: 65%
Market Volume ($): $904,611
Market Volume (units): 17
- Unfortunately, our start to November is quite the opposite of last month with a dismal sell-through rate and low dollar volume to kick off the month.
- We did see a $200k+ sale of an '89 Speedster and we'll have some more GT cars ending this week which should give us a better idea of where November is heading.

SPOTLIGHT
Few cars have been replicated more than Porsche's venable 356 Speedster. Sure, 550 Spyder replicas and the occasional 904 replicas hit the market, but not with the regularity and frequency of the 356.
In the past year alone, 95 replicas have come to market commanding anywhere from a low of around $30,000 to upwards of $60,000 and sell-through at a rate of 80%. While year and mileage play less of a part in the price difference of the cars, the disparity seems to be driven by the manufacturer.
356 Speedsters by Vintage Speedsters like our Spotlight car tend to command higher prices at auction while Speedsters built from CMC and a few now-defunct manufacturers can be had in the $30,000 range.
And while a rising tide lifts all boats, 356 replicas have held fairly steady over the past year with the pandemic bringing a much larger supply to market than in previous years and a demand that seems to be satisfied.
NEW & NOTEWORTHY
- Only 2,700 miles on this VERY yellow 1999 Boxster 5-speed. She's barely even broken in.
- But if 2,700 miles is too low for you, head on over to Marqued and bid on this 138,000-mile Boxster S.
- Loving this RSR-Style 1977 911S with an upgraded 3.6-liter engine finished in Mexico Blue with Houndstooth interior.
