Good Morning! Well, no crazy million-dollar sales yesterday but we do have an interesting car that's been a regular on auction sites around the world this year. Might be time to pack it away and wait for the next rally, guy.

THE MARKET
Sell-Through Rate: 67%
Market Volume ($): $844,578
Market Volume (units): 18
- Ho-hum day in the market with the sell-through rate dropping below 70% and dollar volume failing to cross the $1m mark. I guess after two days of million-dollar sales things needed to take a breather.

After yesterday's '72 Targa sale at over $1m (which we're still scratching our heads about), we were anxious to see what the market for a soft-window Targa really is. But this 1968 911S Targa fell short with a $140,000 bid over on PCARMARKET. But to be honest, we weren't really surprised.
This car has been no stranger to the auction scene this year first being offered on Collecting Cars in February where it failed to sell and then again in April... where it failed to sell again. Then in July, it was offered at Articurial's Le Mans Classic sale where, drum roll please, it failed to sell yet again.
So by now, the astute among you might have guessed that the location of the car is not in the US. It was in fact being sold from France to a primarily US audience based on the auction venue. Maybe the seller thought nobody would notice or perhaps the fourth time would be a charm.
Either way, this car was destined to be a no-sale with one German bidder present and others hoping to steal a soft-window Targa to import into the US market and make a quick buck. Well-not-sold.
NOTEWORTHY SALES
- Wheels and vinyl graphics didn't fool anybody into paying crazy money for this off-road 2005 Cayenne Turbo which sold for $27,138.
- Remember that super-low mileage 996 C4S that brought Turbo money the other day? Well, this super-low mileage 996 Turbo brought $95,000 yesterday.
- Unfortunately, this 1964 Porsche 356C failed to sell yesterday with a $45,250 bid falling about $10k short of where the seller wants to be.
NEW LISTINGS
- Here's something you don't see often: a 1 of 267 factory widebody 1994 Porsche 911 Carrera 4.
- Bought at auction, backdated, and now being sold at auction, it will be interesting to see how the seller of this 1990 911 C4 makes out.
- Like most things in the 80s, this 1977 911S Cab. had a nose job and was converted to a Slant Nose configuration.
