How to stay motivated and inspired in your daily life

Most of us already know what we need to do to live a successful life but for some reason we don’t do those things. We know that we need an emergency fund in a savings account however a survey done by bankrate.com shows over half of Americans have less than 3 months of savings and 1 in 4 Americans have no emergency fund at all.

We need to surround ourselves with content that applies directly to our goals and aspirations. If we want to start a new diet, instead of doing it by yourself, why not join a Facebook group of others doing the same diet? Start listening to podcasts to create new healthy habits. Follow tik tok creators that focus on healthy eating and exercising. Basically surround yourself with things that are going to move you closer to that goal. You may not succeed at first but because you follow others you will gain the confidence to start again.

Things I do to keep myself inspired and motivated:

  1. I consistently listen to 1 motivating podcast episode everyday. I read a nonfiction book about business, leadership or finances. Currently reading Rich Dad Poor Dad.
  2. I monitor my screen time on my iphone. Currently my screen time is around 4 hours a week. Sometimes it spikes because I’ll be reading an ebook on my kindle app when I don’t have access to a hardcopy.
  3. I exercise 3-5 times a week including, running, weightlifting or golfing.

Apps I use to help me stay motivated to my personal development goals.

  1. My Workout Group - this app allows me to create a group with my friends. We check in on the days we’ve worked out and the whole group can see it. You build a streak by hitting your goals and you can compete against your friends to stay accountable.
  2. Kindle/ apple books reading apps - like I stated earlier, I love using these apps when I am away from home and not able to get my reading done. It also helps if you can’t sleep and you can read a little in bed on night mode to put you right to sleep.

Ps. Share with 1 person that needs to start reading a nonfiction book today! Even thought that person might be you lol.

Gain a new mindset!
