Hi, Everyone!

We have a lot coming up this month at Stitch Your Art Out!

First, make an appointment to come in and see all the new stuff. We get in new things almost every week, and it’s always fun to see them. New sock yarns, happy prints on fabrics? Yes, please!

As always, we're open by appointment for browsing, Monday through Saturday. Call the shop at 814-238-4151 if you want a late-afternoon time, or click the button below for morning/early afternoon:

Read on for Knitting and Quilting news.

Knitters

We’re still working on the Maryland Road Trip mystery knit-along, and if you haven’t joined in yet, you can catch up. Make an appointment to pick out 4 coordinating yarns. It’s been fun seeing all the beautiful colors people are using. We're honored to have 29 yarn shops and hundreds of knitters working on this project! Want to see a few sneak peeks of the first part of the shawl? Head to Fans of Really Clear on Ravelry and take a look!

You can pick up the pattern here. (And if you want to pick up last year's Pennsylvania Road Trip, head here.)

We also have several outdoor knitting classes coming up:

(1) Eleanor’s “Finish it” class. Bring along your pile unfinished stuff, and Eleanor will help you sort through it to work on what will give you the most satisfaction. Get unstuck!

(2) Fair-Isle headband. Learn to knit with more than one color. Yes, you can do it. (Just don’t tell anyone how easy it is after the class. Let them think it’s all about your “talent.”)

(3) Knitting 101. Learn the joy of knitting. No experience needed!

Quilters

We have just a few openings for our May Zoom classes:

(1) Monday, May 3, we’ll start a New York Beauty class. If you’ve never learned how to paper piece, this is a perfect starting point.

(2) Tuesday, May 4, we’ll work on Log Cabin quilts using the Creative Grids log-cabin ruler, and

(3) we’ll do some landscape quilting on May 11.

Zoom has worked very well for quilting. No need to lug that machine around!
