Hello, everyone!

Happy Monday! Here's the latest edition of SYAO Creativity. Let's see what's going on in our creative world this week!

STITCH (What I've been working on)

I've been working behind the scenes on a super-exciting event for months, now, and it's finally gone live! I'm teaming up with Tempest Studios and Pine Grove Hall for a Jane Austen needlework event on March 17!

Here are the details.

Tea with Tempest: A Jane Austen Brunch

presented by Tempest Productions, Stitch Your Art Out, and Pine Grove Hall

Join us for this delightful fusion of literature, crafting, and locally sourced goodness, where we bring the spirit of Jane Austen to life!

Tempest transports you to Jane Austen’s Regency world of social grace and romantic intrigue. Held in Pine Grove Hall's beautiful sun-lit upstairs dining room, we'll start our morning with tea and brunch from Pine Grove Hall's specially prepared menu. Then, join in a needlework tutorial led by Cynthia Spencer from Stitch Your Art Out -- bring your needlework, or purchase a kit at the event. You may do any type of needlework you prefer--or you may simply enjoy lunch and the show.

Brunch seating begins at 11am. Event begins at noon.

$35 general admission, plus food and beverages. Seating is limited. No handicapped access.

Click below to purchase tickets. (Note before purchasing that this event will be held upstairs at Pine Grove Hall, and there is no elevator.)

YOUR (What you've been working on)

I had never heard of Maleg toys until Laura sent me a photo of this sweater. It's adorable. The pattern is on Ravelry here. The designer does not have in-store (yarn shop) sales, so go ahead and get it. After you get your mouse. At the risk of starting you down a rabbit (and mouse) hole: https://www.mailegusa.com/collections/mouse-in-a-box

ART (Inspired by art or nature)

JoAnn sent me this photo of vegetables she took at Erewhon Market in California. The person who arranged them is an artist!

OUT (What's out on the shelves in the shop)

The solids for the Tula Pink block of the month have arrived! I'm so excited! They also look eatable.

As of this writing I have only 13 kits remaining. Be sure to sign up if you want to do this block of the month. It turns out that because of the amounts I'll be needing of the solids, I won't be able to add more kits to this year's project.

Sign up for block of the month below. If you need for us to mail it, call the shop, to take care of the postage costs.

Sign up for Tula!

As always, make an appointment to shop or browse, or just to show off your stuff! I can't wait to see you!
