Hello, everyone!

Happy Monday! Here's the latest edition of SYAO Creativity. Let's see what's going on in our creative world this week, as we careen toward what the groundhog said would be an early spring!

STITCH (What I've been working on)

Toby's Hat Project

It was a great week of finishing! First, I finished my nephew Toby's hat. I was pleased with how it turned out, and I'm sure he will be, too! The pattern is Josue's Hat, and it takes 3 of your favorite colors of Rios or other worsted-weight yarn. Good luck choosing! I'm toying with making one of these for myself.... but I need to finish up a few other things, first!

Jane Austen Project

Then I finished my Jane Austen cross stitch piece. It turned out cute. Sometimes it's fun to make a little thing that invites happiness. If you're thinking of going to the Jane Austen tea at Pine Grove Hall on March 17, I suggest that you click that link to get your ticket. As of yesterday, there are 9 tickets remaining out of 50.

I'll be sending out an email in a few weeks to those who signed up, asking if you want the supplies for either of the projects. Next up: Designing some knitted lace mitts for this day! (It's hard to send out that email without having any mitts to show--plus I want to wait until the venue is totally full, so I have proper counts!) I'm not sure when they'll be finished, but I'll be in touch if you're going to this program. You'll need a size 6 needle of any length. That's all I know at the moment.

YOUR (What you've been working on)

Kathy's quilt for her grandson is wonderful. Thanks for bringing it by to show everyone!

ART (Inspired by art or nature)

Yesterday morning, the ground leaves twinkled in the sunlight. It's never as good in a picture.

OUT (What's out on the shelves in the shop)

New fabrics--I love orange and blue together. They'll make terrific blenders.
