SYAO Creativity, the week of January 20, 2024
Jan 20, 2025 6:59 pm
Hello, everyone!
Happy Monday! Brrrrrr! Here's the latest edition of SYAO Creativity. Let's see what's going on in our creative world this week!
STITCH (What I've been working on)
I'm working on so much!
First, the Knit Happy Summit starts this week, and I'm so excited about being a presenter!
You can join for free, but if you’d like extended access and bonuses, there are VIP passes available for purchase. A quick tip: the VIP pass is at its lowest price within the first 30 minutes of signing up, so keep that in mind! VIP passes come with longer access and lots of free goodies from all the presenters. I highly recommend them!
Sign up either way here:
The summit runs online from January 23-26! I'll be doing a couple of online, live calls, so catch me there, too. (Note my appointments are blocked out during these calls, and I'll be taking the phone off the hook as well. It's just an hour each time, and then I'll be available! It's been so handy to have appointments at times like this. I so appreciate that you make good use of the calendar!).
Next, the block of the month has begun, but you can still get into it by calling the shop. Here's the first block we did! Feel free to set up a time just to see it in person, if you like! There will be 12 different blocks, but they all have this vibe. They go together in a snap.
Next, I'm also working on my first project for the Really Clear class--Fake-Out Thrummed Legwarmers. The pattern will be out at the end of this year, but if you take the class, you get early access to it. (This is a great time to be wearing something warm!) The pattern is almost written, and I'm pleased with my one leg warmer. I can't wait to finish the other one!
Here is my happy left leg next to my sad right leg. I need to finish the other one this week, what with the cold weather!
I'm doing more, but we'll save those for another time. We need to keep moving here!
YOUR (What you've been working on)
Susan's baby sweater is adorable!! She used the Victorian t-shirt pattern, which I can get for you. The yarn she used is mine. Let me know if you want some, and I'll put it on my dyeing list. So cute!!
ART (Inspired by art or nature)
The snow on this pine tree looks like cotton!
OUT (What's out on the shelves in the shop)
Do you love fireflies as much as I do? This just arrived, and it would make a lot of fun things! I love that the insects look a little more realistic. Also, this makes me feel warm and summery today, which is a nice thing!
As always, make an appointment to shop or browse, or just to show off your stuff! I can't wait to see you!
