Happy Monday! Here's the latest edition of SYAO Creativity. Let's see what's going on in our creative world this week!

STITCH (What I've been working on)

A quick reminder that Knit a Hat Day is this upcoming Sunday. My pattern is ready for purchase on Ravelry. If you want the yarn to make it, come by and choose 2 highly contrasting colors, and I'll gift you the pattern. (If you've already bought the pattern, I'll apply that amount toward your purchase.) We'll do the mystery knitting all day on Sunday, Sept. 15. Clues begin at 9:00 a.m. and will be released on Ravelry every 2-3 hours.

I've been plugging away at this sweater, and it's finally making some real progress! I expect to publish the pattern in January or February, but if you want to test it, and if you buy the yarn, the draft pattern is yours! It's a bottom up, no-sew, raglan pullover. You need a yarn that knits at 5 stitches per inch. I recommend Rios, of course!

YOUR (What you've been working on)

Patricia started this throw in a class taught by Kirsten about a year ago. She carefully wove in all the ends and used thread to secure them. She hand-quilted each little square. I think we can safely call this "magnificent!" I love that it uses both yarn and fabric!!!

ART (Inspired by art or nature)

Have you ever been to the Hotel Hershey? It's soothing just to walk around in the lobby. (And they have good candy at the gift shops.) Here's a tile that's part of a railing. Such beautiful sculpture in it.

OUT (What's out on the shelves in the shop)

This is a cool new fabric!!

And a quick reminder that Knitting 101 begins in a few weeks. The class runs for two nights, September 24 and October 8, from 6-8 p.m. Learn how to knit! It's perfect for on-the-go projects! Sign up online or in the store. You can pick up your supplies either ahead of time or that night!
