Hello, everyone!

Happy Monday! Here's the latest edition of SYAO Creativity. Let's see what's going on in our creative world this week!

STITCH (What I've been working on)

The mystery is over, and I'm FINALLY able to show you my Make a Hat Day hat! I asked people to vote on Facebook and Instagram, and the green combination was the winner. I do love this combo!

My design plan was this: I started with all dark yarn, then added a wee bit of light. Then I balanced the light and dark equally in the shadow-knitting section. Then I used more light than dark, and finally went to all light. It was a fun hat to play with.

YOUR (What you've been working on)

Susan brought in a beautiful sweater made from the ever-classic Malabrigo Rios. Love this so much! I also love how she didn't alternate skeins, and she got a beautiful color-block effect. Don't be nervous about hand-dyed yarns. I like this better than an alternated-skein version!

ART (Inspired by art or nature)

There was a daylight moon last week. I got a shot of it, and was surprised by just how interesting the photo was!

OUT (What's out on the shelves in the shop)

Knitters! Remember that the shop is participating in the Have a Ball Fall Crawl over the next two weekends. This is an online yarn crawl, with 21 stores--and many prizes for those who are watching live!
