Happy Monday! Here's the latest edition of SYAO Creativity. Let's see what's going on in our creative world this week!

STITCH (What I've been working on)

I'm excited to tell you that I released my mystery-hat pattern late last week! It's called Winter Glows. It's a beanie (toque) style in a Nordic stranded design, with optional beads. You can buy the pattern on Ravelry here.

You can use the same colors of Rios I used (green, red, and cream), or you can make it whatever colors you prefer. You need a background color, plus two contrast colors. Two tubes of beads should do it. Set up a time, and we'll choose something pretty! I have over 80 colors of Rios in stock. I think we can find something good for you.

Clues begin on Thursday, November 2. This hat is the perfect holiday present. You'll have it finished long before Thanksgiving! I love a quick knit.

YOUR (What you've been working on)

Kathleen picked up a 20-year-old project, and figured out why she had stopped knitting it: She had run out of yarn. We started to look for a matching green, but of course, everything was just slightly off. I suggested that she use purple, and blend it in the sleeves, swapping the flower centers, too. Off she went! This is the result. Better than all green, isn't it? A few purple buttons, and Kathleen is ready for ... spring!

So often, running out of yarn or fabric can actually make a project better.

My friend Sandi lives in Canada, and shot this stunning photo of ... what else but Canadian geese.

OUT (What's out on the shelves in the shop)

I've carried this same Kaffe Fassett fabric for years. But it always needs to be refilled! It's back!! (Along with a bunch of others.)
