Let's see what's going on in our creative world!

STITCH (What I've been working on)

This month's block for the block of the month was fun! I love the bright orange with the blue, purple, and green. It's a little bit unexpected. There's orange elsewhere in the quilt, so it'll look coherent. the more colors you use, the more that all those colors get along with each other. Color likes color. (Pickup will be this Saturday, for those of you who are participating.)

YOUR (What you've been working on)

I love Lena's creative combination of a Philip Jacobs fabric (from the Kaffe Fassett Collective) and an Australian print. Aren't they fantastic together? I wouldn't have thought of it, but as soon as she put them together, it seemed magical.

ART (Inspired by art or nature)

If you start looking at Renoir's use of color in this painting, it's fascinating. Her hair! Much color inspiration in this one.

And what is she sewing? Inquiring minds want to know!

OUT (What's out on the shelves in the shop)

Let's keep going with Philip Jacobs. I love his fabric. It's simply gorgeous. Here's a butterfly print that arrived recently.
