Happy Monday! Here's the latest edition of SYAO Creativity. Let's see what's going on in our creative world this week!

STITCH (What I've been working on)

I just released a hat pattern! You can get the pattern/supply list now, but you'll unravel the mystery on September 15, 2024! This day-long event for Make a Hat Day promises excitement and creativity as you knit a fun mystery hat, clue by clue.

To get started, select two contrasting yarns (light and dark) that knit at 5 stitches per inch—contrast is key! (Do I hear blue and white?) Grab your 16" circular needles in sizes 5 and 7, and have some double-pointed needles on hand to finish the top.

Be ready at 9:00 a.m. Eastern! Clues will drop every 2-3 hours throughout the day, guiding you to create a project that will keep you guessing until the very end.

Mark your calendar, make an appointment to get the perfect yarn, and get ready for a happy knitting adventure! I'll give you the pattern at no charge if you buy the yarn. (If you've already bought the pattern, I'll put that amount toward your yarn.)

YOUR (What you've been working on)

Susan came in with a whole bag of finished projects to show me! This is delightful!!! I'm honored that everything she made was from one of my patterns. From top to bottom, we have the Easiest Shawl; Cabling 101; Bernelle; Brevity cowl; First Fair Isle; Planes Trains, and Automobiles; and Texturation. I appreciate your bringing in everything, Susan. What fun!
