Hello, everyone!

Happy Monday! Here's the latest edition of SYAO Creativity. Let's see what's going on in our creative world this week! It's an issue of fall colors!

STITCH (What I've been working on)

Valerie and I finished up the Great Lakes Road Trip. I've had the shawl finished for a while, but it's nice to be able to show it off--finally! This picture shows my favorite part of my design: The Carl Sandberg quote: "Nothing happens unless first a dream."

There are so many quotes about dreams:

"All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream." (Edgar Allan Poe)

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” (Eleanor Roosevelt)

"If you can dream it, you can do it." (Walt Disney)

And of course the classic lines from Hamlet: "To die, to sleep--to sleep--perchance to dream: Ay, there's the rub. For in that sleep of death what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil, must give us pause." (William Shakespeare)

Not quite as cheerful as Walt or Eleanor. Or me in my shawl!

YOUR (What you've been working on)

Barbara came in to choose buttons for her latest sweater. (She improvised a good bit of it, so no pattern--sorry!) It's beautiful, and it's time to wear sweaters!

ART (Inspired by art or nature)

Yesterday was stunning. Classic fall.

OUT (What's out on the shelves in the shop)

It's getting colder now. Time for some Rasta. (One of my customers wasn't going to make hats for Christmas as she usually does. But then she made a hat with Rasta, and it took so little time that she's on roll with hats now!)
