SYAO Creativity, the week of November 28, 2022
Nov 28, 2022 2:01 pm
Hello, everyone!
Here's the latest edition of SYAO Creativity. Let's see what's going on in our creative world!
STITCH (What I've been working on)
My Advent mystery shawl, Radiant, begins this Thursday. (I still have a few kits left, if you want to grab one this week before it begins.)
I also still have a sale going on, with a number of fabrics at $6 and $3 per yard, and a number of yarns at buy 1, get 2 free. Set up a time to see it all!
Also, the pie baking went well. Lemon meringue below. Recipe at ... I'm of grandma age now. That's fine with me! Grandmothers are the COOLEST AND THE BEST!
YOUR (What you've been working on)
Sarah decided to turn my Australian block of the month from several years ago into a completely different quilt as part of the Redbud Quilt Guild challenge for orphan blocks. It's gorgeous!
Sometimes projects get stuck, and the thing to do is let go of the original thought, and move on with other ideas.
Excellent creativity, Sarah!
ART (Inspired by art or nature)
I have to show you a couple more photos of Longwood Gardens. This week's is a stunning mum. There were hundreds of them in the conservatory. This was my favorite. This picture reminds me of Philip Jacobs' fabrics for the Kaffe Fassett Collective.
OUT (What's out on the shelves in the shop)
You might not know this, but I carry a bunch of interchangeable knitting needles! They're great for those people on your list who like to buy you special things.
You can see what I have in stock here. I will likely not be restocking any of these sets until after Christmas, given lead times and shipping times these days, so get them now! Pictured below is the gorgeous Lantern Moon set.
As always, make an appointment to shop or browse, or just to show off your stuff! I can't wait to see you!
