Hi Friends,
Happy Sunday!
I hope you have the most amazing week ever.
Blessings!
1) Photo of the Week
2) Quote to Ponder
If every tiny flower wanted to be a rose, spring would lose its loveliness. St. Therese of Lisieux
3) Hike # 44 of 52
CORONA LOOP TRAIL 46/52
This hike was literally on the border of Mexico in Douglas, AZ. It was pretty cool to hike along the "wall". Saw some animal bones but not much else. You can check the photos and video below.
4) Dad Joke
We were driving to a party and my wife said, “Hey, you missed a right!”
I said, “Thanks babe. You Mrs. Right!”
5) Relationship Corner
21 lessons I learned from 10 years of marriage - by Kurtis Hanni
- Never stop dating your spouse. Make it the one unmissable event in your calendar. We need to do better at this and this is my commitment to do that.
- Never speak poorly of your spouse behind their back. You are sowing the seeds of discontent that will eventually be the groundwork towards your exit plan.
6) Adventures of Steve and Chrissy Update
A Liminal Space
"Liminal Space is a word that comes from the Latin word limen and means “threshold.” Liminality is an inner state and sometimes an outer situation where people can begin to think and act in genuinely new ways. It is when we are betwixt and between, have left one room but not yet entered the next room, any hiatus between stages of life, stages of faith, jobs, loves, or relationships. It is that graced time when we are not certain or in control, when something genuinely new can happen."
Chrissy and I are in an in-between spot for the next few weeks.
We completed our official time in Tucson as Steve's hospice RN contract finished up on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The next contract has not been secured yet. Steve is in communication with the travel nurse company about opportunities for January.
Currently we are visiting family in Ensenada (thus the short update).
The deal on the tiny home we'd been hoping for fell through. The sellers are not going to sell. So, we will be heading back to AZ after our time here in Mexico to look at some other properties that look promising.
We will keep you updated.

7) Question for Reflection
What is one thing you can do over the next few weeks to finish the year on a high note?
