And Happy Easter!
There is an ancient Easter greeting often said during Easter celebrations or services where one person says "He is risen!" to which the other person responds, "He is risen indeed!"
This greeting has been used in Christian liturgies and hymns for centuries, and is still commonly used in churches around the world today.
While there are varying opinions about exact origin of the responsive greeting, it is highly likely a melding of words from two Bible verses: Matthew 28:6 and Luke 24: 34.
The first part, "He is risen", was spoken by an angel at the empty tomb to Mary Magdalene. He said: "He is not here; He has risen, just as He said."
The second part seems to be from the words spoken by the disciples who met the risen Jesus on the road to Emmaus when they told the other disciples about it. "The Lord has risen indeed and has appeared to Simon!β

3 ) π₯Ύ This Week Outside
Some lovely friends of ours generously gifted to Chrissy and me a night at a bed and breakfast called The Ramsey Canyon Inn.
It is situated in Ramsey Canyon, imagine that!
The canyon has a creek flowing through it and is situated in the Huachuca Mountains, just south of Sierra Vista. It is considered one of the premier bird-watching spots in the world.
While we did not get to see too many birds, we did have the opportunity to hike up the canyon to a waterfall. We gained some pretty good elevation as we went.

Marriage Pearl # 11: Accept Parental Imperfection
All parents are a mixed bag. Itβs true no matter how good or bad we are.
As parents, it is important to realize that you will fail your kids from time to time. We are only human and raising kids is no easy feat.
In the beginning, I wanted to be the perfect mom with happy, healthy, and successful children. However, I soon learned that it was impossible to achieve this ideal.
We get tired, irritable, and need a break. But instead of dwelling on my mistakes, I made a daily habit of reflecting on what went well that day as a parent and what I could improve upon. This helped me acknowledge my mistakes without getting stuck in a cycle of self-pity. Instead, I focused on developing new strategies for managing the chaos of daily life and continuing to grow as a parent.
I have come to accept that parenting is a journey, and itβs okay to stumble along the way. As long as we keep moving forward with a commitment to doing our best, we can be confident that we are on the right track.
6 ) ποΈ Adventures of Steve & Chrissy Update
Last weekend we made a quick trip to Prescott to get our stuff out of storage and brought it to Tucson. Our new place as room for storage apart from the living area, which will save us a bunch of money on storage costs.
We have been working hard to get our house ready to rent while we are gone.
I (Steve) finished the hospice nurse travel contract in Tucson this past Friday.
We are heading to Colorado next week. My next contract is with a hospice in Evergreen.
We will be taking 4 days to drive to Colorado from Tucson. We will be boondocking at a winery, a farm, a brewery and a ranch along the way. We look forward to sharing all about it with you next week!
