Age of Fire Book Two is launching next Thursday
Hey everyone!
It's been a crazy September for me as I put the final touches on Children of Ash & Stone before it heads off to my editor here in a couple weeks.
It's clocking in at roughly 160k words. Something like 50 or so pages longer than Book One.
It's my longest book to date, and it's been a ton of work this past year. Ash & Stone has a scale and scope well beyond any of my other books, and it definitely pushed me quite a bit creatively. But that's also something I always want to be striving for... trying to challenge myself with each new project.
There's still plenty of work to come over the next few months as everything comes together for the final draft, along with all the details for the final printed edition. But I am really proud of it, and so excited for what we have in store.
First through Kickstarter, and then, beyond.

What's Entertaining Me:
Reading: Recently finished The Silver Sorceress by Alec Hutson, which I really enjoyed, and almost halfway through East of Eden by John Steinbeck, which has been excellent.
TV Shows: My wife and I are almost finished with Silo S2. Great show!
Also been watching some Broncos football, and even made it to a game in person last weekend with my wife, my brother, and sister-in-law. We had a blast, and a win too.
