It's hard to believe that June is already over. It has been a bit of a whirlwind, with lots of projects in motion.

Summer is a season I continue to find is generally better served toward more administrative and editing tasks, than for a lot of creative production. Between the kids being home for summer breaks, some visits from family and in-laws, plus an anniversary coming up, there are a number of things breaking up the flow.

I've increasingly tried to lean into this as the nature of this particular season, and this year, it worked out really well to have A LOT of administrative tasks going on.

Rage of Saints Deluxe has been fulfilled

For those of you who backed the second Shadow Watch campaign, your deluxe editions have shipped out from the warehouse. A few of you may have even received your books already.

I can't wait for you to get this one! It turned out sooo incredible.

And the fulfillment happened several weeks quicker than I was expecting.

Which means...

Book three is almost here!

Darkling Queen officially launches on July 10 (13 days away)

Children of the Gods is very close to digital fulfillment

The audiobook is in the final proofing stages and should be finished with production next week.

The interior formatting for the book is done, and we are just waiting for the final piece of artwork to wrap up, here very soon.

Soo... by the end of July, ebooks and audiobooks should be delivered!

And I am hoping to receive the print proofs for the hardcover edition in late July or early August.

Like I said lots of administrative tasks...

Writing Updates

June did not see a lot of new writing. I am still in the planning stages of the next Age of Fire book.

I am working on a couple of short stories over the next month, one in the Shadow Watch world, and one in the Children of the Gods world.

But with Darkling Queen coming in a couple weeks, I probably won't be completely settling back into writing mode until August, when I will be diving headlong into the Children of the Gods sequel.

I have made a lot of progress in the preliminary stages of plotting it, though, and it is going to be an epic ride, that is for sure.

Currently Watching:

My wife and I have been going for comedy lately... just finished Shrinking S2, and now, we're enjoying Stick on AppleTV...

I also just finished watching The Pacific (from like 15 yrs ago). It was excellent, even if it was still probably my least favorite of the three Spielberg and Hanks produced WWII mini series.
