Happy New Year! It’s hard to believe that 2020 is finally over. What an absolutely insanely hard year for most of us. But I have faith that 2021 will be a much better year, and wish you and your family an abundance of health, happiness, and prosperity 😊
We moved to Qatar a few months before the lockdown here, so have spent a lot of our time in Doha inside our compound. It is a shame we didn’t get to see more of this country. Parts of Qatar are stunning, and the Persian Gulf is just beautiful.
Here is a photo from the dhow cruise we took the kids on this morning. It was a wonderful way to see in the new year, with the sun shining bright, salty breeze and crystal water. (Dhow is the name given to the traditional sailing boats used in the region.)
Anyway, in two weeks we are moving to Dubai! wish me luck on our journey—because of the blockade we can’t take a direct flight and the very circuitous route will take about 17 hours, including a layover. Three kids and ten hours in an airport… what could go wrong? Lol.
