I like birds and books, I can not lie

👋
Hope you’re having a great day.
It’s been a while since you’ve been receiving my newsletters, so I thought to tell you a bit more about myself.
Here it goes!
I’m Stefanie, a writer based in Seattle, WA.
‌
My passion for writing began in middle school when my English teachers told me that I was good at writing and that I should continue writing outside of school. (I likely wasn’t good – I just wrote way, way more than my peers!) But I did continue writing as a hobby, and I wrote a lot of fantasy stories and dreamed of publishing them someday.
‌
When I’m not writing, I’m a foodie on a mission or a homebody playing competitive Overwatch (I’m a Top 500 player). I start every morning with a cuppa coffee or tea, I travel about once a month, and I’ve seen every birb (cute birds) videos on the internet. Btw, I’m always looking for recs on the next travel destination!
‌
Tell me something about you by replying to this email! I’d love to get to know you better.
Happy readings,
Stefanie Chu

The winner:
All things die, even elves. They live on in other worlds, but eternity has a price - leave everything behind, everything except memory.
In the second elven world of Naz'arán, chaos reigns in the south as the demigod Arzen and his revenant army threaten to destroy everything in their path. Only one elf has the power to turn the tide of war - but he can't even remember who he is.
Fel'annár was brought back to life by the Master Dominie, but his memories are slow to return. In time, he must join the Order of Shirán and find a way to stop Arzen from annihilating Elvendom. But first, he must win the greatest battle of all: the battle raging in his own mind.
They say the country of Zeuten no longer has any need for heroes.
When Zeuten's last Sentinel disappears, Zelle, her granddaughter, intends to track her down. Instead she runs into an Aestinian stranger with no memories of his past, who claims to be looking for a long-lost Relic hidden in the mountains by the first Sentinels. To Zelle, the rumours of lost Relics are just stories told to trick gullible travellers, but the hordes of enemies on the stranger's tail suggest otherwise. Armed with nothing but her grandmother's sentient (and temperamental) magical staff, Zelle finds herself tasked with keeping them both alive.
Between monstrous beasts, magical storms, and an enthusiastic but inept aspiring assassin and her dragon sidekick, Zelle has her work cut out if she wants to survive long enough to save her grandmother and prevent the destruction of a nation.
Maybe Zeuten is in need of a few heroes after all…
