It's July!

June was a busy month with freelance work, new picture book drafts, my debut case of Covid, and a visit with a book friend.

PEACHES picture book author Gabriele Davis traveled to the Georgia Peach Festival in June. I traveled to see her and hear her read her book.

Stacy's book news:

A notable change in my release date occurred in June. Instead of April, I anticipate an August 2025 release date. This is a few months later than I expected, but I know it will be worth the wait. The art I've seen in gorgeous and I hope the book we've all created will resonate with children, families, and in classrooms.

🎥 New picture book recommendation SAUDADE: Our Longing for Brazil

I’m excited today my friend Ana’s new book Saudade: Our Longing for Brazil is in the world.

The book has a broad appeal as this emotion is universal whether we’ve called it Saudade or not.
