Spring is my favourite season of the year: Flowers start to blossom everywhere and filling with colour our world. I certainly feel more energised, so perhaps you feel the same way. Just as nature wakes up, it's the perfect time for your Spanish to bloom with new energy, right?

Let's celebrate longer days and sunshine; I've been adding fresh resources to all our lessons, and a phrase of the month for you here.

I look forward to planting new words and phrases (to sound like a native!) and watching your confidence grow, just like all the flowers and trees in this beautiful time of year!

Mi estación favorita es la primavera: hay flores coloreando nuestro alrededor. Sin duda me siento con mucha más energía, ¿y tú? Así que tal como la naturaleza va despertando, es el mejor momento para que tu español florezca con nuevas energías,¿no crees?

Celebremos juntos los días largos y soleados; he estado agregando recursos frescos a nuestras clases y la frase del mes aquí.

Vamos a sembrar nuevas palabras y frases (¡para sonar como un verdadero/a nativo/a!) y me encantará ver cómo crece tu confianza, tal como lo están haciendo las flores y árboles en esta hermosa estación del año.

Phrase of the month: Echar una mano 🤝

• Meaning: To help someone with a task or a problem.
• English equivalent: To lend a hand or to help out.
• Example: ¿Me echas una mano con estas bolsas? Pesan mucho. (Can you lend me a hand with these bags? They're heavy.)

Pro Tip: Even though the verb echar usually means to throw, in this context, it means to offer or provide help. It’s one of the most common ways to ask for assistance in any Spanish-speaking country!

• ¿Qué significa? Ayudar a alguien con una tarea o problema.
• Equivalente en inglés: To lend a hand o to help out.
• Ejemplo: ¿Me echas una mano con estas bolsas? Pesan mucho.

Dato curioso: Aunque echar suele significar to throw, en este contexto se traduce como dar o prestar. ¡Es una de las frases más usadas en países hispanohablantes!
