We need to know the time when we have to catch a train, taxi or flight or know when a museum or shop is open.

So remember you could use the 24h clock or just the 12h format.

To know the time right now we ask: ¿Qué hora es?

12.10h Son las doce y diez

10.30h Son las diez y media

19.45h Son las ocho menos cuarto

To find out what time a place is open/closed we ask: ¿A qué hora…?

El Museo del Prado abre a las 10.00h (diez de la mañana) y cierra a las 20.00h (ocho de la noche)

El Prado Museum opens at 10.00am and closes at 8.00pm.
