¡Hola, !

The weather! We love talking about it: it’s sunny, it’s windy, it’s too hot or it’s snowing. When we talk about the weather in Spanish we say

Hace calor. - It's hot

Hace frío. - It's cold.

Está soleado. - It's sunny.

Está nublado. - It's cloudy.

When talking about the weather we use HACE or ESTÁ.

¿Cómo está el día hoy? or ¿Qué tiempo hace hoy? - How is the weather today?

And if we want to know the temperature, we say

Estamos a 25 grados. - It’s 25 degrees.

💡In Spain and Latin America we use ‘grados centígrados’ degrees Celsius.

Mini-challenge: Choose an area in your weather app and say how the weather is today. You may even say the temperature because you remember your numbers ;)
