WHY GOD MUST BE YOUR LAST RESORT & NOT FIRST

image(The Importance of Self-faith to Your Faith in God)

If you want to become great and experience the grace of God, make sure that God is always your last resort when dealing with personal problems. Of course, this is different from everything that you have been taught since you are young; it is now time to upgrade what you have learned.

Resorting to God as the last option does not mean you disrespect God, or you do not believe in him, God. It, in fact, means otherwise. You cannot experience the full power of God and his faithfulness by running to him first every time you have a personal problem.

If prayer is the master key, then it should be the last key to be used, and only when the right keys have failed to open a particular door or doors. The Christians that pray for things that they can do are spiritual thieves trying to reap where they did not sow.

In the spiritual realm, one cannot open any door with prayers (the master keys) until the right keys have failed to do so. This is why many people keep praying and yet never get what they pray for. They will never get it even if they pray and fast for the rest of their lives.

Jesus Christ demonstrated in many ways and forms why God should be the last resort in times of personal problems as recorded in the Bible. If you check all the miracles he performed, you will see that they came only when every other thing has failed.

From turning water into wine to healing the man blind from birth, and raising Lazarus from the dead. Even during the feeding of the 5000, he asked for food first and realized it was not enough and there was no way to get it before he performed a miracle.

He did not perform miracles to compete with men’s efforts or intelligence or deem them unnecessary, but to compliment them. This is why he never performed a miracle where and when man’s efforts could have gotten things done.

In fact, all of Christ’s miracles often have an element of human efforts in them. For him to feed 5000 people, there must be loaves of bread & fishes made by men, for him to turn water into wine, the pots had to be filled with water, for him to raise Lazarus from the dead, he needed people to remove the stones.

You will realize that Jesus rarely prays before performing a miracle too. He just commands and things happen. Why does he do that? Because he believes in the authority that God has given him and does not need God’s permission to use it anytime it is needed. If he keeps praying, nothing will happen, so he does not need to pray.

Relating it to human beings, it is said that “we are made in the image & likeness of God”, which means that we can do things without having to pray to God. This is why you are given brain and willpower. Praying for God to do things that human intelligence has done or can do is a waste of time. God will never answer that prayer.

Imagine that the manufacturer of a car has to be asked for permission anytime you want to move the car, or the car refuses to move until permission is taken from the manufacturer. That will be exhausting right?

If the manufacturer wants you to consult him anytime you want to move your car, then you will not be given the keys to turning on the ignition. It is the same with God; If he wants you to pray to him for everything you want, he will not give you a brain and free will. You will be a robot.

God will only step into your situations when all human abilities and intelligence have failed to solve your problems. If you like, pray for the rest of your life, nothing will happen until you have exhausted your human intelligence in solving your problems.

Your faith in human intelligence either yours or others’ is the beginning of your faith in God. If you do not have faith in yourself or others, you can't make your faith in God work for you; what God can do will always be limited if you do not have faith in yourself.

Faith in yourself must be the beginning of your faith in God because all we have, God gave. until you exhaust what you have, which he gave you, he will not step in. If you do not know this, you will die praying and make nothing happen.
