UNDERSTANDING THE ENEMY OF THE LAST DAYS

Find out the enemy...

Many years ago, when I was looking for a near-perfect title for my first published book HOW WE BECAME NARCISSISTS, I settled for THE ENEMY OF THE LAST DAYS. It was a title that was not only inspired by the Bible, it also agrees with the reality that a lot of folks are now facing.

For instance, 3 out of every 4 persons you meet suffer from depression at one time or another. One of those three is a severe case. What these people suffer from is the enemy of the last day. Does it suggest that depression is the enemy of the last day? Actually, it is one of the tools with which this enemy operates.

The enemy of the last day is NARCISSISM, and while many of you might be hearing the name for the first time, you are most likely suffering from its poisons.  I am a born fighter, I fight to stay alive, fight to follow my career, fight for my love life, but none of my fights is as hard as fighting narcissism. It is something I still do whenever he reappears. He cannot be defeated once, so I have to constantly be on my guard.

Fighting narcissism is the most difficult fight of my life as it is more like fighting myself; this enemy is the most difficult for a lot of people to fight. It is the reason there are too many atrocities in the world.

If you wonder why the marriages of your parents succeeded and it seems really hard to achieve the same feat now, then you have an idea of what this enemy is capable of doing. This enemy is the most difficult enemy to fight as it attaches itself to our most darling emotion against which we are not ready for a fight – selfishness.

Fighting narcissism is like fighting oneself, but for one to truly live, narcissism has to be constantly fought and defeated. It will reappear at different times in your life, but you must always defeat it. In one of my self-discovery courses, I stated that no one can pass the test of self-discovery and development without first passing the test on narcissism. This is a statement of fact based on my understanding of human nature.

A person that suffers from narcissism is incapable of love. Read again the word “incapable.” A narcissist (someone that suffers from narcissism) only uses people for his/her good, wishes to continue to do that, and gets angry when people refuse to be used. A narcissist cannot also forgive; this is because forgiveness appears to favor the other person and it will mean loving that person, so narcissists cannot do it.

A person that suffers from narcissism can be identified through constant depression regardless of what he/she possesses in terms of money, fame, and power. Whenever you hear that a very famous and rich person commits suicide, you must be sure narcissism has claimed another victim. Depression results from hoarding and that is what narcissism is about.

It was written in the Bible that “in the last days, people will become lovers of themselves,” this simply means that people will be hoarding love. This is dangerous to the person doing so and to others but it is now rampant. We are in the last days.

Unknown to people, love is spiritual by nature, and the only way one can benefit from it is to share it. The more love is hoarded, the less available it is. And when love is not available, life is dried up and replaced with death, which comes gradually in form of depression and suicidal thoughts.

Life is encapsulated in love, and depression is evidence of a lack of enough love to make life available. If the available love continues melt down, then suicide is the next option. People commit suicide because they do not have any love left in them. The reason? The enemy of the last days – NARCISSISM!

THE ENEMY OF THE LAST DAYS is one of the books I will be giving out for just N699 on my birthday (5th of September 2022) even though it currently costs N10, 000. If you like to take advantage of my birthday offer to buy it, click on the link below.
