Some time ago, an article, in which I did not advertise anything made me N5000. 00 within 2 hours of sending it out. That money would not have come if I have delayed the decision to write and post that article at the time I did.
I was keenly tested to procrastinate writing and posting the article on that day. A voice within me seems to be saying, “since it is not an important article, you can post it anytime. Pick up the game consul & play some games. After all, you have worked all week.”
I obeyed the voice, but then I later dropped the game and began to write. It was not easy writing it; I did not feel exactly motivated, but something deeper within me encouraged me to continue and I did. I finished it and posted it and that was it.
There is no doubt that procrastination would have cost me N5000. 00 and someone the solution to her problems. It will even cost me more money in the future. That is what procrastination does. It is always your loss.
Many of you procrastinate on things that matter a lot; you immediately think that certain decisions do not matter and can wait for another day when it comes to taking an action. This usually proves very costly.
Late decisions are costlier than prompt decisions, but the quality of the decision always remains unchanged. In fact, it is your delay that often reduces the quality of your decisions while aggravating your problems that a prompt decision would have solved.
For instance, the cost of a 1-hour chat with me on WhatsApp was N1000 earlier this year, it now costs N2000.
