I made an astounding discovery many years ago that God did not give King Solomon of the Bible wisdom. No, God did not tell me, I discovered it. In fact, God does not give wisdom! That may sound outrageous, but if you read to the end, you will know better.
Now, let us digress a little bit and talk about me to drive my point home.
I earned the reputation of “I too know” since my secondary school days, and people still call me that to date. They may think that they were insulting me, but I see it as a compliment. It is a challenge for me to know more than ordinary human people.
I do my best to know more than my contemporaries and I never stop – I earned the reputation of the world’s finest thinker long before now. It is not a title or an award, it is just a confirmation of who people think I was and who I thrive to be on daily basis. This pushes me to learn more.
Anywhere I go, people say that I make other people feel like they do not know anything, but I do not do that intentionally. It just happened. Many people feel threatened by me because they do not know what I know and they do not wish to learn, not even from me.
It is easier to say knowledge puffs up when a person makes a show of knowledge, but not many people know that for people to get to that level where they will be able to puff up with their knowledge and be justified for doing so, they must have been so humble enough to learn.
Sometimes ago, someone confronted me saying that I act like I know everything – then I asked him. Is there anything that I claim to know and you found out I did not know? He said no, and I told him that it was because I was more humble than him to learn these things.
To have a chance of puffing with your knowledge, you must be humble to learn. A lot of people love to puff up with knowledge, but they are not willing to learn – all they do is to protect outdated knowledge and get mad when you expose them. These people are fast to put the devil of arrogance on people for saying and doing what they know.
Now, let us get back to king Solomon; what God gave him was understanding. Understanding of what? Knowledge, of course! This understanding of knowledge led him to the right application of them, which earned him the reputation of the world’s wisest man. But Guess what? God did not download knowledge into his brain! God will not give you an understanding of something you do not learn about.
I want to learn what people will never dare to learn and I will pay whatever price demanded to learn them. Not only that, I apply my knowledge where people are scared to do so. If you doubt this statement, read my latest book titled
King Solomon did the same thing to become the world’s wisest man.
In many of his writings, he always started with “I have seen” or “I studied” or “I observed.” This shows that he dedicated his time to the acquisition of knowledge. He never said “God showed me,” or, “told me” because except for prophesying & vision, God does not give knowledge. What Solomon needed to become the world’s wisest man was the understanding of the knowledge he has acquired. That is what God gave him.
If you want to be superior to anyone, you must be twice as humble as they have done, to learn and apply even the things that they will not learn and apply. This is the secret of becoming the world’s finest thinker.
Even if God gives you understanding, without knowledge, which you have to pay the price demanded to acquire, it will be useless. Kind Solomon was a poet, but he bought many poems from commoners to learn from them too.
I did the same thing recently; I recently bought a course on WhatsApp monetization for several thousands of Naira from my Facebook friend despite I have a book on it that is selling on Amazon. By doing that, I now know more than the person that sold the course to me who would not even buy mine.
Not only that, I offer my followers the best they can have on WhatsApp monetization after adding what I know to what I bought from her. I become superior to her in the business by buying and adding what she knows to what I know. That is the way of superior intelligence & wisdom.
A lot of people will not do it because learning from someone they know and who they think is on their level or below them is degrading, and they do not want to go through that. I have also registered for training under my student. That is humility without which there will be nothing to convert to wisdom.
If you wish to get the best from your life this year, be humble enough to learn whatever you need to progress. It does not matter from who you learned it. Without knowledge, you cannot become wise, and without humility, you cannot acquire knowledge.
Being humble to learn gives you the right to be proud. When people know so much and brag about it, it is because they have been more humble enough to learn. If you wish to outdo them, go and learn too – the shortest cut is to learn from them. Good luck to yah.
