a couple of things I hope you might like...

Hello again!
I'm dropping by to share a couple of things that I hope you might like...
Back in June I was honoured to give the keynote speech at a private viewing for teachers of the British Library's gorgeous fairy tale exhibition, and I'm delighted that a gently edited version of that speech has now been added to the British Library's online resources. If you fancy a read, I suggest sitting down with a cuppa and following this link: Gifts from our ancestors: the power of fairy tales. And if you'd like to look at the rest of the British Library's online resources around children's books, you can head to this link: Discovering Children's Books Padlet, or visit their Cook up your own fairy tales resource hub.
In my last message, I mentioned that I've loved creating zines with young people in my workshops this year. So, to celebrate A Year of Fairy Tales being published, I decided to create a little activity and gratitude zine, themed to each of the twelve months and stories in the collection. I've put September's zine in the resources section of my website, free to download (along with instructions of how to fold your zine), and will be adding another zine each month. I hope that readers, young and old, find these fun to fill in over the months ahead. So, if you or any young people in your lives enjoy them, please do let me know, and I'll send some goodies out to a few readers who share their completed zines with me!
That's it for now!
Sending warmest wishes and much love,
Sophie
