We made it half-way through the year!
Let's check-in.
Hello there ,
We're entering the last hours of June. Time flies they say. Summer solstice just past, we're at the hight of the sun in the northern hemisphere. Time to celebrate.
How has it been for you?
What have you learned so far? Which conversations did you enjoy most? Which were more challenging?
I'd love to hear from you. How has your experience on The Thread been so far? Just reply to this email.
If you didn't get to write your June letters yet, maybe you can find a little moment this weekend. And remember, if you'd love a response to your letter, don't forget to add your return address. I'm only giving you a prompt for one letter, but if you resonate with someone, feel free to take it into another round of writing.
It's Pride week here in London, and I'll take a couple of days to celebrate my community and get back to work next week. So July's Thread prompt will be published soon, and you have a couple more days to wrap up June if you need to. Remember, it's not about perfection, but about taking that little moment to pause and listen.
If you've already written your letters, and you're keen for the next prompt, maybe reflect on the journey through the year so far, a half-way point is a great moment to check in and see what lies behind you, so you can step into the next half with a clear intention.
You can look at the year as one big breath. From summer into autumn we take a big breath in, soak up the sun, start new chapters, celebrate in community, make sense of things... and after the winter solstice we breathe out, we digest our ideas, and put them out into the world, share things we've been working on, relax into it as spring comes back and we re-emerge from the shorter days.
What do you want to breathe in for the next six months? Are there any themes coming up when you look back over the letters you've written and received?
Maybe you even find a moment to celebrate your tribes as well this weekend.
Happy Pride! And I'll write to you again in a couple days,
Jonas
