Every product has a life-cycle, and products reach the end of their usefulness in the markets they compete in. You may choose to refresh it, or you can sunset it.
πwhat does it mean?
If you choose to sunset some features or your entire product, donβt just flip the switch, be intentional about it and let your customers know what youβre up to.
π‘why should you care?
If you've done it or are thinking of doing it, you might not be considering to apply some human-centered thinking that would improve the process. As in your product development process, you also have to consider what, how and why you're doing what you're doing.

It's a paradox. Give away too little value and customers won't be able to use your product sensibly. On the other hand, give away too much value, your risk offering a free plan that will cannibalize revenue from paid tiers.
