Being a Music Producer myself I have always had issues with knowing how to keep my songs interesting
Before......
I used to just cram more things into the track and add more leads or other synths to try and fill up the space to keep things exciting
But that just kept taking away from the essence of the song itself and also cluttered up the mix
I knew there was a better way about it just didn't know how.
Then one day....
I got introduced to Ben Bohmer's music and it blew my mind how simple his music was. Not a tonne of lead sounds, or pads, or instruments in general.
This is when I sat down to analyze what he does to keep his song moving while keeping the listener engaged.
Once I found out what he started doing, I applied it
IMMEDIATELY my songs became super interesting while doing LESS work and having more fun making songs that are catchy yet work for the dancefloor
I made a quick tutorial capturing his main best practices with synth sound design as well as automation which will help you make your tracks sound pro!
Watch Here:
FOUR automation tricks that make BEN BOHMER the MASTER of MELODIC HOUSE
I urge you to keep your DAW open side by side to apply these technique to your own lead synths and watch your songs sound PRO immediately.
Cheers,
