Be yourself. Love yourself. Take care of each other.
Hello, world! Shelly here! It's Monday, December 16, and today is the last day to order on my web site for shipping arrival before Christmas (and the last day for 10% off, and the last day for the holiday price of $29 on my skin care starter/travel bundle!)
TLDR:
- 10% off with code: LASTCHANCE
- Ends at 11:59pm eastern time Monday, Dec 16 (US only)
- To find the bundle, scroll to the bottom of the page of any item in the bundle, like this one: Mini Hydrating Toner
Today's vlog for Vlogsmas is posted early because I talk through the inspiration behind my formulations for each product in the bundle:
Yes, there's a cat cameo in the first couple minutes :) Daffy and Charlie paid a visit.
I often get asked if I ship to locations outside the US. While my skin care formulation training was through a school in London that teaches the stricter standards of the European Union, the process to get approved to sell cosmetics in different countries varies by country and is something I am not yet able to afford (both for the testing requirements and the legal expenses to stay in compliance). I hope to someday (thus choosing an international program for my studies) and you'll all be the first to know when I get to that point!
For those local to me in Virginia, I've got one more weekend at the Valley Mall in Harrisonburg. I'll be there this Friday & Saturday (Dec 20 & 21) from 10am-9pm and Sunday (Dec 22) 11am-7pm. I'm in a different spot this weekend - in the store right next to where I've been in previous weekends, right up front! Look for the Whetzel Vendor Fair shops across from Five Below. I've got my skin care, tie dyes, and graphic tees with me. I will be restocking body lotion, body butter, and lip scrubs for the weekend (and hopefully will have a couple new surprises to announce - stay tuned!)
Depends how much making I get done this week - but I have turned in my final grades in SMAD at JMU, and I have submitted the multimedia project I was working on with a colleague to the competition that was due today, so.... the whole week will be dedicated to making stuff! If you're curious, this web site project was on the impact of the Barbie Movie on fast fashion and plastic waste. My friend Alexandra does the research and writing, and I do the graphic design, web site building, and technical side. The site then gets entered into various peer-reviewed or juried multimedia competitions, which, if we win an award, counts toward our professional scholarship (which is part of our annual evaluations in the professor position). http://barbiefastfashion.com
That's all the news on this front! I hope everyone's week is off to a great start, and I'll see you over on YouTube for more vlogsmas!
Thanks and remember: be yourself. Love yourself. Take care of each other,
💜 Shelly
