How music "superpowers" your workouts

Have you ever tried to do a cardio workout without listening to music? Ugh! It can be harder to step up the pace or stop yourself from getting bored.
Likewise, have you ever taken a workout or yoga class and the music was so awesome you barely noticed you were working out? It almost made it feel like a party?
It’s true. Studies show the right music – upbeat, peppy songs – can really power up your workouts.
The right playlist can make your workouts go by faster. Music can help you work out longer, and it can even make you want to exercise harder while at the same time making it feel easier!
That’s an awesome combo, isn’t it? Working out harder, longer, while it actually seems easier?
Obviously we all have different taste in music so finding the right mix is a personal thing. Some people want to work out to dance or electronic music, others to rap or hip hop, and others to metal.
